After supporting Towndoor with their pre-existing website for a number of years, it was becoming clear that change was necessary. The existing site had become difficult to maintain and lacked the flexibility to keep pace with the changing needs of the business and their expanding property portfolio. The brief from the management team was clear: deliver a modern website that showcases the portfolio and positions Towndoor as not a typical landlord.
One of Yorkshire's leading commercial property landlords, Towndoor is a family-run business with a 35-year history and a reputation for supporting their tenants’ growth. The business owns a number of custom-built sites across Yorkshire offering affordable, quality commercial premises ranging from warehousing to office space.
Over a series of meetings, we worked with the Towndoor management team to pinpoint exactly what made them different, where the current site wasn't delivering, and how the new site could make running their business easier.
From these meetings we created a 40-page project specification document to ensure we delivered on all the business needs. And then through the process of wireframing and design we brought the site to life, covering off all user experience and content requirements.
As the key element of the site was property management, we also built a completely bespoke system within WordPress that provided not only a great user experience, but also a simple management interface for the business.
The new site not only highlights what Towndoor stands for, it’s become a part of the business’s sales team, bringing their full portfolio front and centre so potential clients can easily find the properties that meet their business needs 24/7.
We have worked closely with Adam and the team at Fallen Leaf Web Design for a number of years making a number of websites for our sister companies & supporting our digital business needs. Therefore when Towndoor was in need of a new website, it was a no-brainer to instruct the Fallen Leaf team to get this built for us.
The process was easy from the get-go, with an initial concept meeting to discuss our requirements (which they interpreted very well), then regular meetings and feedback sessions to ensure we were happy throughout the process before finally handing the website over, which we are extremely pleased with.
