The charity’s existing website had become confusing and bloated. It was difficult to maintain and it wasn’t delivering for the organisation’s members. Our objective was to improve signposting of information, reduce the complexity of admin tasks and streamline the membership process, which would ultimately help the charity to make a return on their investment.
AoCPP is a charitable organisation providing support, professional development and representation for those working in child protection and safeguarding.
We carried out a series of workshops to identify website-user personas and understand the important role the website played in growing and developing the organisation’s membership.
Our team developed a bespoke system that could autonomously manage member subscriptions, events bookings and member content - linking directly into the charity’s payment solution GoCardless.
The AoCPP’s new site is far more accessible and communicates information to members and visitors much more clearly than before. By automating member renewals and event ticket sales, we have provided a platform the charity can use to build closer links with the membership. With further development stages mapped out over the next 12 months, the site will continue to be a key asset for the organisation. Following the launch of the website, we were hugely proud to have received an international dotCOMM award for our work with the charity. dotCOMM Awards is an international competition honoring excellence in web creativity and digital communication.
Adam and the team at Fallen Leaf Web Design worked closely with us to understand our organisation, and to help us understand what a high-functioning, good quality website could do for us. The project was well managed and collaborative from the start. The new site was delivered ahead of schedule and has already generated an increase in memberships and given us the ability to manage more of our events online, freeing up our valuable administrative resource. We will continue to work with Fallen Leaf as they help us develop the e-commerce element of our income generation strategy.
