Lu’s owners came to us in 2020 with their vision for a contemporary eatery named after their mother, Lucy. They wanted a stand-out brand that would make its namesake proud, and a website that would showcase everything the unique new venue would offer.
Lu's Place is a unique, contemporary café nestled in the Holme Valley. It features a terrace and heated glasshouse with retractable roof, and welcomes walkers, cyclists, and even horse riders thanks to an equestrian pen at the front!
Working closely with the team, we were able to translate the name Lu’s into a friendly welcoming brand that reflected the destination. As we got to know more about Lucy, we learned her favourite animal was a giraffe, and we developed this into a strong brand mark that could be used across all their printed and promotional material.
For the website, we went with a contemporary minimal approach, giving the customer all the venue information they needed, including online booking and the ability to purchase gift vouchers, all wrapped up in an easy-to-use content management system on super-fast hosting.
The strong brand identity and website allows Lu’s Place to stand out in the Holme Valley as the unique, modern venue. It portrays their high standards and the quality service they deliver to their customers. We continue to support the business's growth with marketing material design, website support, and of course, popping in for some amazing food!
We have used Fallen Leaf’s services for a number of years on multiple projects, Adam and the team are our “go to” guys and deliver exactly what we want. So it was only right that they were the ones to take on our latest project, Lu’s Place.
Since 2019 when we had a vision in mind to open a contemporary, new build café, Fallen Leaf has had a huge input. They were the ones who created our unique giraffe branding and brought this to life, on top of all our web design and design needs.
Adam and the team are a pleasure to work with, nothing is ever too much hassle, and they are always on hand should we require any assistance.
We would recommend anyone considering using Fallen Leaf’s services to do so – we wouldn’t be without them!
